Gordon Ramsay's Sharp Jibe at Adam Peaty's Family in Wedding Speech

Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty exchanged vows on Saturday in a ceremony that has become one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings in recent years. The event was made even more memorable due to an emotional speech delivered by Holly’s father, Gordon Ramsay, which reportedly contained sharp remarks about Adam’s parents.

The tension between the families had been building up for months, with Gordon Ramsay's comments during his speech drawing significant attention. It is said that he made a pointed reference to Adam's absent parents in front of all the guests, adding to the controversy surrounding the wedding.

The roots of this family conflict can be traced back to September 2024 when Adam and Holly chose not to invite certain members of the Peaty family to their engagement party. This decision was followed by another controversial move when Caroline, Adam’s mother, was not invited to Holly’s lavish hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds. In contrast, Tana Ramsay, Holly’s mother, and close friends such as Victoria Beckham were present at the event.

• Holly and Tana Ramsay highlighted their strong family bond with a heartfelt gesture during the wedding.
• Adam Peaty’s heartbroken mother was seen for the first time since the wedding snub.

Gordon Ramsay began his speech by calling Adam a “lucky man” before making a direct comment about Tana, saying, “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.” He then appeared to make a subtle jab at Adam’s parents when he told Holly, “Shame you don’t have the same,” according to reports from The Sun.

Caroline, 60, expressed her deep pain ahead of the wedding, telling the Mail: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out. This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on…because of the wedding.”

Following Gordon’s speech, a family source came forward to criticize the Ramsays, claiming it was all part of a plan. They stated: “It just goes to show that this was the Ramsays’ plan all along. You’d think that as parents, Gordon and Tana would have a bit more compassion towards Caroline, Mark and the family.”

They added: “Caroline did everything and more to help Adam. She and Mark sacrificed a lot to get him where he is. Adam ought to be ashamed of himself for going ahead with the wedding without them after everything they did to support him. Beth has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly. This isn’t the Bethany we all know, she’s changed her appearance and personality to fit in with the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle.”

The source also reported that Adam uninvited his great-aunt Janet and her husband Eddie just days before the wedding, which they described as “completely unacceptable.”

It has also been reported that Adam’s aunt Louise sent him a message moments before he walked into Bath Abbey, but he never read it. She reportedly wrote: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”
