Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the trip to Fulham, he did not hold back his feelings about the team's performance. “It hurts,” he said, acknowledging that Liverpool's title hopes are over. He mentioned that many things have changed from last season, and it is not ideal, but that is the situation they are in, and they need to face it and work towards improvement.
Mac Allister pointed directly to the summer decisions, stating that many things have changed. He mentioned that new players came in to replace those who left, and that too many changes were made. However, he preferred to keep the details private.

With the title no longer in sight, the team still has targets to aim for. “For me it is quite clear but in terms of goals, the Champions League is there and we will definitely fight for that one because it would be a very nice one. And the FA Cup, which is a really important cup for English teams.”
He concluded with a reminder of the standards expected at Liverpool. “We are still there, we are going to play soon and that is another goal for us. When you play for Liverpool, you always have to fight for everything.”
